The birth of our restaurant

It was 31st October 1983 when Felice Morandi took over the Antica Osteria in Via Luigi Risso 71. His team was his family: his wife Graziella with him in the kitchen and his children Viviana and Marco in the dining room.


The restaurant, just a few steps from the sea, is small and cosy but those few tables grasp you with their essentialism: this is the only way to operate on a daily basis, carefully choosing the best that the market has to offer and then transforming it into solid, traditional cuisine.

As the years went by, Felice, with a stern eye, followed his son Marco, and when he was sure that the reins of the dining room and kitchen were in good hands, he decided to take a well-deserved rest.


And so, in 2005, the new team took control: Marco, flanked by his brother-in-law Saverio Gelao, leads the dining room while chef Fabio Fara is in the kitchen.


Motivated by the desire to offer greater comfort to his customers as well as to the team, Marco matures the idea of looking for another premises, so in 2010 the osteria moves to the new premises in Corso Valparaiso 136, a few metres from the old building.

Our restaurant today

The new location is joined in the kitchen by Shabir Moudassar, in the dining room by Marco Belloni and Tommaso (the founder's grandson). This growth is accompanied by another: Felice and Marco begin cultivating vegetables in our hills.


And Felice? He has not left the scene: his presence is indispensable for taking care of every detail in the preparation of banquets for ceremonies and conventions.
